Woman held for attempt on husband’s life

MUMBAI: A 22-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attempting to kill her husband. The accused, Sabina Khan, attacked her husband, Pyare Mohammad (29), with a sharp weapon around 1.30 am at their house in Jari Mari, Kurla, according to a police official.
Mohammad suffered injuries on his throat.“Sabina, who has a mental health issue, is in custody,” said senior inspector Avinash Dharmadhikari of Saki Naka police station.
In another case, at Dahisar, aman was arrested for allegedly making a bid on his wife’s life. Yogesh Joshi (28) bludgeoned his wife, Sunita, with a hammer on Thursday. The police said he suspected his wife’s fidelity. “Yogesh is an alcoholic and unemployed. He has been arrested,” said senior inspector Vasant Pingle of Dahisar police station.
