MUMBAI: A young woman, who was being harassed by a person over the phone, confronted him and got him arrested at Kurla station on Wednesday.
The accused, Mithilesh Tiwari (30), who works in a transport company on Ghodbunder Road in Thane, had come across the victim’s number accidentally. “For the past fortnight, he had been calling up the woman and asking her to meet him.

She refused but he wouldn’t give up,” said senior inspector Shivaji Dhumal, Kurla GRP.
The woman confided in a friend and the two women decided to lay a trap for Tiwari. When Tiwari again called her up, the victim agreed to meet him and asked him come to Kurla station on Wednesday.
“Around 3pm, the victim and her friend reached Kurla station. After meeting Tiwari and confirming that he was indeed the caller who had been harassing her, the woman slapped him a couple of times, reiterating that he should have stopped calling her up when she had told him to. The commotion attracted a crowd who also bashed Tiwari up,” said Dhumal. Tiwari has been arrested on molestation charge.
