Woman from Navi Mumbai injures husband’s genitals with knife over dispute, booked
Navi Mumbai: A 31-year-old woman residing in Taloja village has been booked for allegedly inflicting a knife injury on her husband’s genitals after a domestic quarrel on Wednesday past midnight. The accused injured her husband around 2 am, when the man was fast asleep. As he raised an alarm, his mother came to his rescue, when the accused woman splashed hot water on her face, causing her burn injuries. After attacking the duo, the accused immediately escaped from the house with the knife and is being traced by Taloja police.
The injured mother and son were hospitalised. Acting on a complaint by the husband, an FIR was registered against the woman under BNS for the offence of voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or means.
A police officer said the 45-year-old injured husband is an auto driver. He has three children from his first wife, who passed away four years ago, after which he married the accused.
She attacked her husband and mother-in-law in a fit of rage, as her husband was not agreeing to her persistent demand of staying separately, with the mother-in-law supporting her son. As her maternal house is in Khopoli, a police team was sent to arrest her, but she is untraceable.
