Wendell Rodricks’ partner Jérôme Marrel says he will support Kashish too

Fashion designer Wendell Rodricks had breathed his last on February 12, 2020 at his home in Colvale, Goa. His untimely death had left things in limbo for many. Among those was the activity that he had begun in 2012, for

Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival

. It was a contest to design the official festival poster and the overall look for the festival’s upcoming edition.

Talking about this, Wendell’s partner Jermore Marell said, “In memory of my partner of 36 years, I am happy to continue his support of the poster design contest for Kashish.”

He added, “Wendell had always supported the festival and I will continue to do so through the Wendell Rodricks Poster Design award. I was involved with him in selecting the best poster over the last few years. Although not as creative as him, I will make sure to recommend the best design to make the team proud.”

Festival director Sridhar Rangayan said, “Last year we were really saddened by the passing away by Wendell Rodicks, an iconic fashion designer, an intrepid LGBTQ activist and a great human being. We are indeed happy that his wonderful partner
