Website launched for senior citizens

MUMBAI: Mumbai police commissioner D Sivanandan launched a website for senior citizens named www.hamarisuraksha.com at the Malabar Hill Club on Friday. Anita Garware and Simi Garewal were the chief guests at the event.
The site will register all senior citizens and help the Mumbai police, NGOs and other government organisations maintain their database and manage security and safety.It will also provide support services to them.
The initiative was the brainchild of Ashwani Narula, president of Hamari Suraksha Software Solutions.
Besides the online system, individuals who do not have access to the internet can get themselves registered through NGOs.
