Ahwad stated, 'The way Indians are facing injustice in America and they are being tied and deported, there is a problem of visas, no Indian is safe in America. We (government) are not speaking a single word about America.'

Punjab Cabinet minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal met with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) on February 23 to discuss their challenges. He promised government support for returning deportees.

Dhaliwal announced that the government would provide employment opportunities to deportees based on their qualifications, in addition to the 50,000 jobs already given to Punjab's youth. He also highlighted upcoming investments in Punjab's industrial and steel sectors that would create more employment opportunities.

Gujarat Congress MLAs also protested the deportations outside the state assembly in Gandhinagar on February 19. They raised slogans such as "Bharatiya ka ye apman nahi sahega Hindustan" (India will not tolerate this disrespect against the Indians).

The third group of 112 illegal deportees arrived at Amritsar Airport on February 16 following US President Donald Trump's inauguration.
