A truck driver, Arvind Yadav (25), 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for the murder of his sister-in-law, Kusum Yadav, who is a Kharghar resident, over a property dispute.

MUMBAI: A truck driver, Arvind Yadav (25), was arrested on Thursday for the murder of his sister-in-law, Kusum Yadav, who is a Kharghar resident, over a property dispute.
The incident took place on May 11 when Kusum had gone to Arvind's house in Boisar. The victim, Kusum Yadav, resides at Kharghar and had gone to Arvind's house at Boisar.
Arvind is married to Kusum's sister.

Arvind allegely hit Kusum on the head with an object and kicked her in the chest. Kusum died of internal injuries later.
"Arvind lost his cool and hit Kusum on the head with a wooden object. He also kicked her in the chest. Kusum sustained internal injuries and succumbed to them later," a police official said.
Her family approached the Boisar police and lodged an FIR against Arvind.
"A few years ago, Kusum had lent Rs 1 lakh to Arvind to purchase a truck. She also let him stay in the Boisar house despite it being registered in her family's name," said the official. Kusum was a seamstress by profession. She is survived by her husband, a six-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter.
Arvind was remanded to police custody till May 20 by a court.
