MUMBAI: A 4-year-old died after his mother's lover allegedly kicked him when he urinated on his pants in the absence of his mother in the suburbs on Saturday. The Nehru Nagar Police arrested Riteshkumar Chandravanshi (19) on charges of murder.
According to the police, the child's mother works as a cook. In her complaint, she said that she has two children from her husband, who stays in Bihar. Due to petty fights, they parted ways. In May this year, she fell in love with the accused. In May this year, the two came to stay in a rented house in Nehru Nagar slums.
On Oct 26, when she returned home from work, her son started crying and complained of stomach pain. He told her that Riteshkumar had kicked him.
The child was admitted to Sion hospital. On Saturday, evening he died. It later transpired that when the boy urinated on Riteshkumar's pants, the man kicked the boy, leading to an internal injury. He has been arrested.
