MUMBAI: A major dilemma for students finishing their board exams is to decide a career that would be the best fit for them. On Friday, hundreds of students along with their parents took back some food for thought from the day one of the Mission Admission seminars on alternate careers, organised by The Times of India.
The informative session started with an overview on alternate careers for students Pradeep Narayanan, MD, Admissionz Campuz.
Soon after, a host of experts from the healthcare and wellness, hospitality and travel, mass communication, art and design, E-commerce, entrepreneurship sectors gave the students insights on how the industries work and function. “All job profiles and careers have a lot to offer to students. What is important is that one makes the best use of the opportunities and do their work with dedication,” said Prasanna Jaware of Fortis Healthcare.
Taking the audience through the most popular sector of Mass communication, media strategist, Subi Chaturvedi told students to choose wisely. “The media industry is booming rapidly and there are plenty of jobs. You must choose the area of work for which you are most passionate about,” she said.
Day two and three of the seminars will be held at Khar and Vashi on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
