Three burglaries in two days

Two homes and an office in different parts of the city were looted between Wednesday and Friday. The burglars made away with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 10.5 lakh.

MUMBAI: Two homes and an office in different parts of the city were looted between Wednesday and Friday. The burglars made away with cash and valuables collectively worth Rs 10.5 lakh.
In the first case, a thief broke into the home of 54-year-old Sunil Bansakhej at Bhavgandha Bungalow in Andheri (W). Bansakhej was out of town when the incident occurred.

Gold ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh, two silver biscuits worth Rs 63,000 and other valuables worth Rs 1.4 lakh were stolen. The Versova police have registered the offence.
In another case, burglars broke into the Malvani residence of Purvej Luis (44) on Thursday morning and stole gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 2.94 lakh. Luis was not at home when the burglars entered the house through the bathroom window and stole the ornaments kept in a wooden cupboard.
The office of lawyer Sanjay Jayant at Hindu colony in Dadar (W) was burgled on Thursday around 8.30 pm. The thief gained entry through the main door by breaking three locks and stole one computer monitor along with its CPU and charger as well as two laptops.
