Teen biker killed in hit-and-run on Marve Road

MUMBAI: A teenager was killed in a hit-and-run at Marve Road in Malad on Saturday morning. The Malwani police have registered a case of rash driving and negligence against an unknown rider and are looking for him.
The incident took place around 10am, when Manish Jha, a resident of Marve Road, was riding his motorcycle near Hanuman temple. Another motorcyclist came up from behind and hit him, causing Jha to be thrown off his bike, said the police.He suffered grievous injuries. But instead of taking him to a doctor, the other rider fled. Later, Jha, a student, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His father, Ranjit, registered a police complaint.
