With the launching of the last of six Scorpene class submarines the hull building berth has become vacant at Mazagaon Docks , Mumbai. India should finalise ,at the earliest , the programme of building next 6 submarines at Mazagaon Docks - Project 76. Otherwise the precious expertise gained at Mazagaon Docks would be lost . This happened earlier when after building 4 HDW - German technology - Shishumar class submarines no follow up order , was given to Mazagaon Docks ,for years
