Mumbai: A superb 11-wicket match haul by left-arm spinner Pushkraj Chavan (5-49 & 6-41) helped Mumbai Customs score a crushing innings & 69-run victory over Central Railway on Day 3 of the first round of their Times Shield match, at Goregaon SC on Thursday.
At the CCI, another left-arm spinner, Vijay Gohil, took eight wickets in the match to enable Jain Irrigation outplay Indian Navy by 10 wickets. Both Mumbai Customs and Jain Irrigation scored outright wins with bonus points.
At the DY Patil Ground, an explosive century (122, 108b, 11x4, 8x6) by Jayesh Pokhare in the second innings went in vain as Tata SC beat DY Patil ‘B’ on the first innings lead.
