Mumbai: After Arjun Tendulkar, another cricketer is set to part ways with Mumbai. On Monday, batsman Siddhesh Lad, applied for a No-Objection Certificate from his parent body, the Mumbai Cricket Association, to play for another domestic side after representing Mumbai since 2013. According to sources, Lad, who is currently playing club cricket (Lancashire Cricket League) in England, is in talks with two-three domestic teams (Goa, Uttarakhand and Tripura), and will finalize his new side in the next few days.
“I had a great time playing for Mumbai. It was an honour to play around 153 games (across formats) for a big team Mumbai for almost a decade. It was a big achievement for me. I thank the MCA, Mumbai’s support staff, my teammates and everyone who helped me throughout my journey playing for Mumbai. It is time for me to explore new opportunities coming my way from the upcoming season,” Lad told TOI from Lancashire, UK.
