Mumbai: In a boost for Mumbai, India batsman
Shreyas Iyer will play for them in the knockout stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, which will be held in Kolkata. Mumbai play the winner of the pre-quarterfinal between Saurashtra and
Kerala, in their quarterfinal clash under lights at the Eden Gardens on November 1.
On Thursday, Iyer was named in the Mumbai squad, which will be led by
Ajinkya Rahane.
Iyer is amongst India's standbys for the T20 World Cup.
Mumbai were on a roll in the league stage, as they finished with six wins in 7 games and 24 points in their kitty to top Elite Group A.
