The victim, Raghu Paswan, 21, was a Bihar native and was employed at a private company in Pune.

On Nov 10, police had found four plastic boxes at Shephali in Gorai in bushes along the road. They recovered the dismembered body of a man from the boxes. The body had been chopped into seven parts and had severely decomposed. While there was no identification on the victim, police found the English letters 'RA' tattooed on his arm.

Police said Paswan was in a relationship with an underage girl. Her family was opposed to the relationship. One of her relatives has been arrested as a suspect in the case.
