police on Thursday arrested a scrap dealer allegedly for raping his neighbour’s daughter over the last eight months. The accused

(45) reportedly made MMS clip which he has used to blackmail and rape the victim. He even broke her marriage proposal after forwarding the MMS clip and victim’s objectionable pictures to the man who came with a marriage proposal.

The matter was observed when the victim’s parent’s learnt about Khan’s act on December 15 when their daughter’s marriage proposal got cancelled. In the complaint, the victim said, “Khan once called her to his house situated in the same locality and offered her cold drinks that was laced with something which made me unconscious. He then sexually assaulted me and made MMS clip of the act which he used to blackmail and rape me.”

Khan committed the offence of sending MMS clip to the man, who came with the proposal, so that the proposal will get cancel and he can continue with his act. “The victim’s parent’s initially tried to ignore when

sent text messages to the man (groom) warning about the girl’s character. Realising that the man was to marry despite his warning messages he sent objectionable pictures on WhatsApp,” said the investigators.

Khan’s mobile has been seized and is sent to the forensic science laboratory (FSL) in

Kalina

. “The mobile is a clear evidence that will nail Khan,” said the investigators. Khan has been booked under the Indian Penal Code sections for rape. He is in police custody till December 27. Khan is married and closely known to the victim and her family members.
