MUMBAI: The SC has rejected the anticipatory bail application of deceased Sandhya Singh's son Raghuveer Singh.
The apex court rejection came on Friday after the city crime branch filed a confidential report opposing his bail. Raghuveer's family has been denying his involvement in Sandhya's murder and have said that they suspect three others-a neighbour, a police officer and a son of an IPS officer.

Sandhya, sister of music composers Jatin and Lalit Pandit, went missing on December 13 last year from her house in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. A month later, her skull and skeletal remains were found in a marsh.
A sources said that the crime branch in its confidential report has indicated towards Raghuveer's possible involvement in his mother's murder and disposing off her body. Earlier, Thane sessions court and the Bombay high court had rejected Raghuveer's anticipatory bail petitions. The police said they have investigated the case in detail and have, prima facie, concluded that Raghuveer may have killed his mother and had allegedly taken the help of some one close to him to dispose off the body. Raghuveer had allegedly allowed his girlfriend Shreya to stay in the house without Sandhya's consent.
