Sandhya’s son offers to take narco test
MUMBAI: Raghuveer Singh, who has been arrested in connection with his mother Sandhya’s murder, has offered to undergo narco and polygraphic tests. Rubbishing the police theory that he could be the prime accused, Raghuveer said he wanted to come out clean by undergoing the tests. The cops, however, believe this was yet another ploy by him to throw the probe off the track.

Raghuveer has been remanded in police custody till December 27. “He is saying he is ready for the tests, but once his custody gets over, he will say ‘no’ to these. The father-son duo has done this on earlier occasion too,” said an officer.
The cops believe 23-year-old Raghuveer has been “tutored well” before his surrender. “We have strong circumstantial evidence to link his role to the crime. Someone very close to him might have helped him dispose of the body. We have three more days and we are using our best efforts to nail him,” said another officer on condition of anonymity. According to the cops, if he does not admit to his role in the crime, they will file a chargesheet against him on the basis of circumstantial evidence.
“We have evidence like call details on the day of the crime, which show his location near the spot where Sandhya’s skeleton was found. His friends and neighbour’s statements have further strengthened our case,” added the officer.
