<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MUMBAI: The recent lull in film releases has been attributed to the just concluded Indo-Pak cricket series and the country’s general elections, but the calm is set to be broken this month with a rush of new releases.<br /><br />Industry-watchers, however, fear that this storm might be bad for business.<br /><br />The biggest and mightiest films slated for release include the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Main Hoon Na,</span> a vintage Mani Ratnam entertainer, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Yuva</span>, Yash Chopra’s untitled love triangle in the backdrop of Indo-Pakistan relations, Govind Nihalani’s second attempt at commercial cinema, Dev, and Subhash Ghai’s period flick<span style="" font-style:="" italic="">, Kisna.</span><br /><br />Fighting the big banners will be Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swades, Gaurang Doshi’s cross-border action thriller <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Deewar </span>— Let’s Bring Home Our Heroes, and Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya.<br /><br />Nestor D’Souza, president of the Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association of India, said that since the stakes were high during the Indo-Pak matches, producers didn’t want to take the risk of releasing their films at that time.</div> </div>
