Reversing heavy vehicle mows down youth in Kandivli

MUMBAI: A Malwani youth was killed after he was hit by a reversing JCB-make heavy vehicle at the Laljipada slums in Kandivli (W) on Tuesday. The deceased, Arunkumar Pandey (20), was caught between a wall and the JCB, the police said. The JCB driver, Sandeep Yadav, who was on BMC duty, has been arrested.
Yadav did not have an assistant to guide him and did not see the victim while reversing the heavy vehicle, the police added.
