MUMBAI:
MNS chief Raj Thackeray
may have had an inkling of things to come regarding the fate of the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance.
A video doing the rounds shows at a meeting in Nashik district in the first week of October, Thackeray had said that even if BJP-Sena secure a clear majority, they would not form the government. "Sena will not join hands with BJP in forming the government. Sena will join hands with NCP and Congress to keep BJP out of power," he had stated.
Despite the saffron combine getting a clear majority, Sena refused to form the government following a dispute over the chief minister's post. Sena had claimed that in the run-up to Lok Sabha elections, BJP president Amit Shah had promised the post will be by rotation.
