MUMBAI: Many parts of Mumbai and its adjoining areas continued to receive significant rains since Tuesday morning. The rains were accompanied by
gusty winds
as well.
Owing to the effect of
cyclone Ockhi, the rains recorded in the past 24 hours by the
IMD Colaba observatory
has been 22.6 mm and IMD Santacruz observatory 22mm. It is pertinent to note that all this rain however was recorded only from last evening till today morning.
The IMD has forecast
light to moderate rainfall
at most places like Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Greater Mumbai, Dhule, Nandurbar, Nashik, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar and Pune districts. They have also said that isolated heavy rainfall could also be witnessd in some areas.
