MUMBAI: Several areas across Mumbai like Mulund, Powai, Marol, Saki Naka, Bhandup experienced brief spells of rain on Tuesday morning, offering some respite from the city’s humid conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had already issued a yellow alert for today, May 13, warning of light to moderate showers in parts of the city.
The unseasonal rainfall caught some commuters off guard during the morning hours.
Weather officials attribute the rain to pre-monsoon activity.
The yellow alert remains in effect through the day, with more scattered rainfall likely.
