needed camel milk for medicinal purpose from Rajasthan.

The hitch was there was no direct train from Falna from where the camel milk is sourced to reach Secunderabad.

On April 25, Western Railway (WR) nodal officer in Falna contacted Central Railway's (CR) chief commercial inspector of Mumbai Division Jitendra Mishra to ascertain if the milk can be sent to Secunderabad.

by Ludhiana-Bandra Terminus parcel train then it can be loaded on CSMT-Secunderabad parcel train leaving CSMT on April 26 at 3.30pm.

CR's chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, "Mishra advised parcel supervisor, Falna to book consignment first to Bandra Terminus and via CSMT to Secunderabad."

With the help of Mumbai Central (WR) control staff and officers the consignment which reached Bandra Terminus on April 26 was received at CSMT Parcel office and loaded on within an hour in CSMT-Secunderabad parcel train.

Mishra also immediately called railway officials in Secunderabad and advised them to do the needful for fast delivery after arrival of parcel train at 5.30am on April 27.

The lady who ordered the parcel thanked the Railway for ensuring the delivery of milk in 28 hours.

A few days ago, railways had also helped delivered camel milk in Mumbai after a mother of autistic mother sought help through social media.

Meanwhile, Central Railway also delivered the medicine to Chiplun for heart patient from his son' residence at Vikhroli.

After a request was recieved, railway booked the parcel on Panvel to Chiplun on Parcel train between Okha to Ernakulam.

Sutar said, "The train did not have halt at Chiplun but staff concerned on Konkan Railway was requested to provide a seperate halt at Chiplun as medicine had to be delivered.
