Pujari gang member killed
The crime branch shot dead sharpshooter Anup Mishra of the Hemant Pujari gang in an encounter late on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap in Malad.
When Mishra turned up, cops asked him to surrender, but he tried to flee after firing a few rounds at them. In retaliation, the officials shot at him. Mishra was a suspect in the 2007 murder of informer Sukesh Shetty.
