Protest against Vadhavan port today

Mumbai: With PM Narendra Modi expected to perform bhoomipujan for Vadhavan port this month, the fishing, farming and tribal communities have planned a protest against the move by blocking Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway at Charoti on Thursday. The Vadhavan Virdodhi Sangarsh Samiti will hold peaceful demonstrations from 10am onwards. Protestors have been urged to ensure students appearing for HSC exams and ambulances are not hit by the protest. tnn
