MUMBAI: Two years after former actress Priya Rajwansh was found murdered in the bungalow of film maker late Chetan Anand, the trial in the case is slated to commence on Monday with the prosecution ready to adduce the evidence of prime witnesses.
Over 100 witnesses have been cited by the prosecution and their statements recorded. However, all of them may not be examined in the court.
On May 23, the court accepted the lists of witnesses and documents tabled by the prosecution. Among the documents are a will, purportedly executed by Chetan Anand, his personal diary and opinion of handwriting experts.
Ketan Anand and Vivek Anand, the film maker’s sons, their servant Mala Choudhary and her relative Ashok Chinaswamy have been summoned to the court on Monday. Ketan and Vivek are on bail, two others are in custody.
