MUMBAI: Bhoiwada police track down a 34-year-old man who stole laptops from hospitals to Pune and arrested him. Police said the accused, Vikas Hagavne, had stolen 11 laptops worth Rs 5.10 lakh from hospitals in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune.

The latest case was reported at Tata Cancer Hospital on April 8. An employee had placed her laptop in the OPD room and stepped out. When she returned, the laptop had vanished. CCTV footage showed the accused walking away with the laptop. According to police, Hagavna has a prior record of seven offences registered in Pune and one offence registered in Surat, Gujarat. tnn
