PNB scam: Bail for tax auditor

MUMBAI: A special CBI court on Tuesday granted

bail

to Sanjay Rambhia,

tax auditor

for the Nirav Modi group, in the Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam case.

Rambhia, a partner in the CA firm Sampat and Mehta, was arrested in March. The CBI had alleged that the tax auditor did not “raise a red flag” despite being aware of three unsecured loans amounting to Rs 5,100 crore availed by three of the group’s companies.
