Patrol team nabs con cop

MUMBAI: A Malad police team on Tuesday arrested a man, Ali Raza Jafri, who had posed as a cop and conned a senior citizen out of her gold jewellery. Two of his associates, however, fled with the loot.
On Tuesday, Marve resident Ranjanadevi Saha was accosted by the trio. Posing as cops, they rebuked Saha for wearing gold when there were so many thefts being reported.On their instructions, Saha took off her four bangles. Even as the the accused stole the jewellery by the sleight of his hands, Saha checked her bag and raised an alarm. A patrolling team nabbed one.
