Parikh, Swaminathan make it to main draw

Mumbai: Mumbai cueist Siddharth Parikh sidelined Danish Khan 4-0 )73-44, 45-37, 64-23, 72-60) win in a best-of-7-frame final round qualifying match to enter the main draw of the Rs 12.5 lakh prize-money CCI Snooker Classic on Sunday.
He was joined in the main draw by Vinay Swaminathan who handed Sumeet Naidu a straight frame 4-0 (78-11, 65-44, 53-25, 66-45) defeat.
Pune’s Pinak Anap beat Mohsin Achhava 4-2 (51-60, 63-42, 60-59, 67-4, 67-42, 71-50) to reach main draw.
Parsee Gym enter final
Opener Ishan Mulchandani smashed a blistering century (118,70b,13×4,2×6), the first of the competition, to power Parsee Gymkhana to a comfortable 42-run win against Mumbai Police Gymkhana in a semifinal match of the Bombay Gymkhana organized Nirlon-R F S Talyarkhan Memorial Invitation Cricket Tournament.
Brief Scores: Parsee Gym 206-2 in 20 overs (Ishan Mulchandani 118*, Kevin Almeida 38, Aditya Tare 37) bt Police Gym 164-9 in 20 overs (Sunil Patil 57, Siddhanth Adhatrao 31*; Sagar Chhabaria 3/26, Dev Patel 2/23, Siddharth Raut 2/17,).
