The police said that the key Oshiwara murder accused, Abrar Khan, could have fled to Pakistan to avoid his arrested in the killing of controversial businessman Ejaz Khan last month.

MUMBAI: The police said that the key Oshiwara murder accused, Abrar Khan, could have fled to Pakistan to avoid his arrested in the killing of controversial businessman Ejaz Khan last month.
The police had arrested three accused in the case and Abrar is wanted accused in the case. The police said that Abrar had underworld connection and he had killed Ejaz as he was opposing the redevelopment of Millat Nagar.
Abrar had a criminal past and he fled to Pakistan in 1990 after he was booked in a murder case at south Mumbai.

He returned back after couple of years and the police managed to arrest him in the case. But he managed to get out on bail.
An officer stated that eyewitnesses, CCTV footage and call records showed that all the accused were in touch on the day of the murder. Two of the accused provided cover and one accompanied Abrar who shot dead Ejaz while he was walking near a garden on December 15.

The accused allegedly supported a developer's redevelopment plan. The former MP and an underworld element called several residents pressurizing them to support the builder. The accused were upset as Ejaz had obtained several details under the Right to Information Act (RTI) and was using these to convince residents to oppose the project stating that the developer had cheated them.
