‘No Road, No Vote’ now in Ambernath

AMBERNATH: After Thane, the city has launched its very own ‘No Road, No Vote’ campaign to protest against the potholed roads here. Satyajeet Burman, an activist who launched the campaign on a social media platform called the Ambernath Citizens Forum, has received a good response from the public. Burman said they were fed up with potholes everywhere in the city, which the Ambernath Municipal Council (AMC) had not filled up before the monsoon.

and traffic jams were constant complaints here, said Burman. Devidas Pawar, chief executive officer of AMC said potholes would be filled now as the rain had stopped.

Manisha Walekar, council president, said 60% of the roads were made of cement and the remaining had potholes, for which Rs 80 lakh had been sanctioned.
