Nimbalkar murder trial begins today
MUMBAI: The trial in Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar's murder case will begin in an Alibaug court on Tuesday. NCP leader Padamsingh Patil is one of the accused in the case.
The case pertains to the murder of Pawanraje Nimbalkar and his driver, Samad Abdul Wahid Kazi, on February 2, 2006 in Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai. The crime branch arrested five persons, including Patil, Satish Mandade, Mohan Shukla.
During the investigations, it was revealed that Patil had given supari to eliminate Nimbalkar to one Parasmal Tarachand Jain as Nimbalkar had become a threat to his political career.

Three shooters from UP,Dinesh Tiwari, Chote Pandey and Pintoo Singh were hired by Patil though his acquaintance Kaliash Yadav, who is also from UP. The CBI were in charge of the case.
