Times NIE organized a annual teachers’ meet at Imagica on Wednesday to give the teachers a day off. Over 550 teachers from schools across Mumbai, Pune and the suburbs were part of this unique meet. The meeting was organized in association with Adlabs Imagica.
Rakhi Pant, a teacher from Nalanda Public School, Mulund said, “At school, were are constantly planning, ideating and discussing so a break is welcome.” The teachers took rides at the park that challenged their fear of heights.
“I had never been on a roller coaster ride, but today I overcame the fear. We got an opportunity to become children all over again,“ said Jacqueline Mitchell, a senior teacher from Christ Church School, Byculla.
Gauresh Kadam from Carmel Convent School, Badlapur, said teachers too need to take time out and rejuvenate. Mehjabeen Bagasrawala from St Mary’s School, Mazagaon, said, “Monotony tends to pull you down but such fun activities recharge you.”
“Interactive themes and story-based attractions at Imagica nurtures imagination and introduces new ways of thinking,” said Harjeet Chhabra, chief marketing officer, Adlabs Entertainment. Teachers were also shown a presentation by Smartur.com, an augmented reality-based digital classroom solution.
