An NCP activist was stabbed to death by two persons over removal of a banner of Eid greetings.

MUMBAI: An NCP activist was stabbed to death by two persons over removal of a banner here, police said on Saturday.
Iqbal Sheikh was removing a banner of Eid greetings from his house in suburban D N Nagar when the electricity supply got disrupted in the building. Residents of the building had heated argument with him over the issue on Friday, police said.

Later in the night, two persons, Saheb Langada and Ibrahim Dadhi, who reside in the same building, came to Sheikh's house and allegedly stabbed him, police said.
Sheikh died on the spot, they added. The duo was absconding after the incident.
