said that the 70-year-old minister was inserted with a stent. “He is stable and recovering now,” said the doctor. Sources say he may be discharged in a day or two. Rane’s son Nitesh said his father had been admitted for a routine check up. “His tests were due for sometime and so we decided to get him admitted and complete all the tests today/tomorrow. He will be discharged on Sunday,” he said .

’s KEM Hospital on Wednesday. Hospital authorities said that he was admitted to the ICU for uncontrolled high blood pressure and chest pain. He was referred by doctors at JJ Hospital for a thallium stress test. However, the stress test is not functional at KEM due to technical reasons, so he will be discharged on Saturday. Deshmukh may have to undergo the thallium stress test in another facility later.
