MUMBAI:
Maharashtra ATS on Tuesday took custody of a 30-year-old accused with suspected links to banned terrorist organisation, Babbar Khalsa, in a 2016 Nanded murder case.
The ATS took Dilpreetsingh Dhan in custody from a Punjab prison where he was serving sentence for another murder. He was produced before a
Bathinda court for transit remand and will be produced before a court in Maharashtra on Wednesday.
Police said the prime suspect,
Harvinder Singh alias Rindha, may be hiding in Pakistan. It was after his alleged association with Babbar Khalsa came to light that the case was transferred to the ATS in May. Rindha and his associates allegedly shot the victim Avatar Singh.
