Following the exciting collaborative events and exclusive previews, a designer store in the city showcased a treble of exclusive previews with
Nachiket Barve making his debut at the store with his first-ever special capsule for menswear along with two others.
Known for his modern progressive design and innovative surface ornamentation, Nachiket put together a special capsule of menswear for Curato.
The collection has a mix of handcrafted and embroidered pieces that work as ensembles as well as separates. The line has an interesting take on festive wear for the contemporary man. Textures, abstract modern florals and insects form the leitmotif of this line. The palette has both day and evening colors for summer weddings and multiple occasions.
Talking about the collaboration, Curato co-founders Shibani Bhagat and Tanisha Rahimtoola Agarwal said, “We are feeling privileged to host a line-up of exclusive debuts with the designers and industry entrepreneurs. We aim to support grassroot creative economies by providing a robust revenue model, strategic counsel and right exposure to the emerging designers. Through the various artist-designer collaborative events and exclusive previews, we intend to inculcate various levels of designer engagement and enable the business of fashion for menswear thereby strengthening the menswear designer ecosystem in the country.”
Nachiket said, “I loved Curato since its inception. It was a wonderful experience to collaborate and extend my aesthetic to this space and curate a line for them. The need and desire to do menswear came from the sheer number of clients who wanted to order something for the men in their lives, after seeing the clothes I make for myself occasionally. It is a line that is elegant, sophisticated and truly versatile pieces for men who can wear these clothes on everyday basis and style them in their own way for their landmark occasion.”
