Mumbai's Gokhale bridge delay stir planned on May 14

MUMBAI: With a delay announced in the reconstruction works of Andheri's Gokhale bridge, which is a crucial east-west connector, locals in the area have planned a silent protest on May 14. This month also marks six months of the closure of the bridge.
Residents said that the silent protest was to showcase their anger at the delay and held the BMC accountable for the revised November timeline.
Last month, the BMC said that the bridge will be ready by mid-November instead of its previous May end deadline.
