Multiple-car crash

At least three persons, including two women, were killed in a freak accident ​on Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Thursday night.

Accident on Bandra-Worli Sea Link

The accident occurred around 10.45pm when the Innova first hit a Mercedes car about 100 metres before the toll booth, which is at the Bandra end of the sea link, on the north-bound lane.

'Driver tried to sped away'

The speeding car was coming from Worli towards Bandra. The officer said that the driver of the Innova tried to escape from the spot and sped away.

Three killed

As the vehicle reached the toll booth, it rammed into many cars, leaving nine people injured. Later, three of them were declared dead.

Six injured

Six injured persons, including the driver of the Innova, are being treated. Two of them are in serious condition.

Investigation under way

A case is being registered against the driver of the Innova car on the basis of preliminary information and further investigations are under way.

India has no trafffic rules but some useless motor vehicle act . Keeping safe distance for breaking is not known in India. Driving licence is given by paying money. The teats the RTO conducts is most stupid tests and not what you need on real roads.
