woman in Mumbai has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband on Sunday using a kitchen knife.

Domestic violence is suspected to be the cause.

The matter came to light when Neha Pawar (29) called up a relative informing that her husband Lokesh (30) had met with a motorbike accident in the wee hours of Sunday and was serious.

The relative rushed to the couple's fourth floor flat in Jeevdani Apartment, Chandansar, Virar (east) at around 3.30am.

He was shocked to find Lokesh lying in a pool of blood.

The two-wheeler was parked in the building compound and there was no sign of an accident.

He informed the Virar police who reached the flat and arrested Neha.

The body has been sent for autopsy.

Neha told the police that they fought over trivial domestic issues and in a fit of anger, she stabbed him on the abdomen. He bled to death.

The couple's seven-year-old son was at his grandparents' home.

Lokesh worked for an event management company.

The couple were colleagues in the company, where they fell in love and married eight years ago.

The couple stayed in Nalasopara and had moved to the rented flat in Virar a year ago.

Neha told the police that Lokesh had turned alcoholic in the past few years and used to torture her physically.

Police suspect that the harassment may have got worse during the lockdown.

A case of murder has been registered against Neha.

She is in police custody till March 11.

1) In many cases it has been seen that indian women murder their husband to continue their illicit relationship with their illicit lover and then in order to get away from the crime. They play woman card and file domestic violence.2) In some case, an indian woman kills her husband for property and then play victim card stating that her husband has hit her and kicked her in order to get away from the crime.3) In some case, an indian woman kills her husband bcoz she's fed up with the verbal fight they always have. Then she plays the victim card by stating her husband raped and hit her in order to get away from the crime.4) In some case, an indian woman has gone through real abuse. She has actually suffered in the hands of her husband. So she killed her husband.In every case, a murder took place. So scenario of each case is different. In the first 3 scenario, the woman deserves death penalty or she needs to be shot dead. No empathy shall be shown towards them.In the fourth scenario, she was really abused. Still she can't kill her husband. She could've told the police bcoz she's a woman and the cops would've been easily pleased by her complaint. But still, she choose to murder her husband. Still, the intent of the wife can only be crystal clear. If the case has been investigated thoroughly just not solely believing the statement of a woman. That's how investigation and justice system works.The investigation shall not deviate on the basis of gender. It shall be done on a neutral basis without any prior assumption on mind bcoz nowadays, there has been numerous cases where woman have been killing their husbands for their own selfish reasons like lust, money and many more.Therefore each case shall be dealt differently. But not by empathizing the woman bcoz she's a woman.
