Mumbai: Two out of 5 planning ATM theft nabbed

MUMBAI: Two members of a gang of five who had assembled with tools to break into an ATM kiosk at Borivli East have been arrested by Kasturba Marg police. Among the tools seized are iron rods, screwdrivers and cutters.

The police received a tip-off that the gang was to strike at an ATM kiosk on Dattapada Road on October 21. They laid a trap and before the thieves could strike, the cops nabbed Karan Chavan, 21, and Prakash Chavan, 22, ans also seized an autorickshaw used by the gang. The three absconding include, Govind Kale, 45, Gopi Chavan, 21, and Rahul Kale, 22.
