MUMBAI: Six persons have been arrested by Samta Nagar police on Tuesday in connection with the day old murder of a 30-year-old man at Kandivali East. Police said the deceased, Deepak Rajbhar, and the accused had an old dispute.
Rajbhar's body was found near Shivaji ground at Poisar in Kandivali East around 7 am on Monday. He had been stabbed to death.
Rajbhar's brother, Dilip, later told the police that they had had a fight with one Deepak Vakle and his associates on July 14.
Dilip suspected that Vakle and his associates had bumped off his brother as an act of revenge. Police found that Vakle had a previous crime record.
After tapping their informant network, police learnt that Vakle and three of his accomplices were to meet near Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
A trap was laid and Vakle was held along with Vishal Sonawane, Akram Shaikh and Avdesh Tiwari. Later two more accomplices, Aditya Chaube and Sonu Chaudhary were held.
