. An accused is required to make a mandatory appearance before the
court
after submission of a chargesheet. The chargesheet was submitted in June.
Radha had sought exemption earlier citing she lived in Delhi and she had two children aged 21 months and seven weeks. Radha, her mother Bindu and sisters, along with Rana Kapoor are accused in a money laundering case. Bindu and daughter Roshni Kapoor were granted bail earlier this month. The court has also once again granted exemption from appearance to Radha’s sister Rakhee Kapoor Tandon who is in London. At the last hearing, Rakhee’s lawyer had sought exemption on various grounds. Rana Kapoor was arrested in March and has been lodged at Taloja jail. DHFL promoters, brothers Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan, have also been named in the case.
