At least 15 vehicles were gutted in a fire that broke out at an auto garage located at Daighar in Thane on Wednesday morning. No casualty or injury was reported, said the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of Thane Municipal Corporation. The fire was doused as soon as the fire tenders were alerted about the incident. Navi Mumbai Crime branch central unit team has arrested a 30-year-old man hailing from West Bengal and currently residing in Taloja for allegedly attempting to circulate counterfeit Indian currency worth Rs 1.85 lakh. The Income Tax Department conducted searches at premises linked to noted Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in Mumbai.
