Mumbai now has 86410 active cases

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that Mumbai city has reported 7381 positive cases on Monday (April 19). The total number of positive cases in Mumbai reached 586692. There are presently 86410 active cases in Mumbai. Read: Mumbai City Latest Updates Unfortunately, 57 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. The total death toll reached 12404. Shops shut in Bhandup-Powai

After new restrictions came into effect in BMC's S Ward on Monday, all shops selling essential items were shut post noon in the Bhandup-Powai area. Crowding in public places has prompted the civic ward to further tighten restrictions on shopping and movement of people. Essential shops here will only be allowed to remain open from 8 am to 12 noon, except medical stores which can stay open throughout the day.

Oxygen trucks at Kalamboli

Green corridors

In a bid to further facilitate the movement of healthcare workers in the city, the Mumbai Police on Monday informed that 'green corridors' will be set up across the metropolis for vehicles with red stickers.
