Mumbai: Man held for forcibly kissing minor girl five months ago

The Kolsewadi police in Kalyan have cracked a five months old molestation case by arresting, a 25- year- old man who allegedly in name of helping minor girl (17) by giving her lift had molested to her by making kiss.

KALYAN: The Kolsewadi police in Kalyan have cracked a five-month old molestation case by arresting, a 25- year- old man who allegedly in name of helping minor girl (17) by giving her lift had molested to her by forcibly kissing her.
The arrested accused identified as Amjad Shaikh is a resident of Kolsewadi area in Kalyan (East).
Police said the incident had taken place on May 21 of this year near Shahad railway station which comes under Khadakpada police station jurisdiction.

The police said victim, due to lockdown, had taken a lift from the accused to go to her residence in Shahad.
DCP Vivek Pansare said, "While dropping minor victim at Shahad, the accused molested her by touching at inappropriate places and acting on her complaint we had booked unknown accused under molestation charges."
Kiran Wagh, assistant police inspector of Kolsewadi police who cracked the case said, "While taking lift victim had also taken help of the accused to make one phone which helps us to reach up to culprit." Wagh further said, "To avoid the arrest, Shaikh had damaged the sim card and had disconnected his number but we tracked him through service provider of telecom company. We then reached to Shaikh's relative's house on whose address the phone number was registered and finally through him have arrested the accused".
