MUMBAI: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Monday arrested gangster Harish Mandvekar, sentenced to life imprisonment in matka king Suresh Bhagat's
murder case in 2013, and an undertrial for allegedly threatening a witness to not depose against him in a 2015 narcotics case.
The ATS on Sunday took custody of Sajid Electricwala and Mandvekar from Arthur Road Jail.
Mandvekar was booked in another case of issuing threats and extortion in 2018 under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. Investigating officer Gyanesh Wagh said there are 13 serious offences against Mandvekar, including the murder of Bhagat and six others.
